It's a Boy!

I suppose I DID forget to mention the fact that we are having a boy! We're excited to be able to have the experience of having a boy in our family, but a little worried about what to do with him. (we hope he's tough enough to keep up with our girls!) He's due around the 20th of September! So, we've been having a terribly hard time finding a name for him. If you have any wonderful ideas, or great suggestions, we'd be grateful for your ideas!

Graduation

Jeremy's parents, me, Addie, Olivia, and Jer went to Duke Mother's Day weekend to see Jeremy graduate! I had no idea how much it all meant to me, until I saw him in his cap and gown accomplishing what he set out to do, and felt the load I had been carrying for 2 years lift from my shoulders. What a sacrifice its been to our whole family, but I am SO proud of him for all of his hard work, sleepless nights, and for achieving such lofty goals. What a guy! WE had so much fun meeting his classmates and friends, seeing where he stayed and went to school, exploring the beautiful Duke campus and participating in 2 graduation ceremonies (my favorite being ON mother's day outside in a torrential downpour!).

After graduation we headed to the OuterBanks of North Carolina- home to the infamous pirate, Blackbeard, the Wright Brothers first flight, and many many many beautiful beach homes. We braved gale force winds to take in the beautiful coastline, hunt for seashells, explore museums and eat fine, fresh seafood. It was so fun having our older girls there, and getting to take Jeremy's parents on a trip (instead of having them take us.) We saw so many places we loved, and would love to come back in nicer weather. But the highlight was definately Jeremy's diploma! Way to go my dedicated, sweet man!
